PlayStation VR, formally known as Project Morpheus, is due to release in the first half of 2016 with a price tag akin to a “New Platform”. I tried the headset at EGX 2015, where it occurred to me that this platform would serve as an upper-middle ground to virtual reality.
The PS4 is powerful and has the capability to deliver more than what you could expect with mobile VR. A PS4 owner simply buys the headset and plugs it into the console, simple. This eliminates the need for any technical knowledge surrounding the PC side of VR. With the rise of HTC Vive, Oculus, controllers, room scale and head-tracking, it could become overwhelming for some who are just scratching the surface.

There are going to be some big franchises opening up their worlds for you to explore and interact in ways you never have before, EVE, Final Fantasy & an Until Dawn spin-off are to name a few plus, there are a few familiar faces from the mobile world too such as Crystal Rift and Omega Agent.
