It’s been a great week for new mobile and tablet games with a few notable launches from May 28th. Here are the notable launches and games to check out, especially if you’re one of the lucky ones to have the day off tomorrow!
Pokémon: Magikarp Jump
Now you might be thinking, how could the most useless and pathetic Pokémon have its own game? Well, you’re as baffled as I am but it does make for an uplifting and enjoying casual game for mobile. Pokémon: Magikarp Jump is a Tamagotchi-like game where you’ll feed and train your own Magikarp while discovering rare ones in the pond. You’ll also decorate the pond and develop ways to help you Magikarp grow even faster.
You won’t be glued to this game all day, but it’s definitely something worth checking out.
Goat Simulator: PAYDAY
Although this wasn’t quite the PAYDAY mobile game I was waiting for, the combination of Goat Simulator with PAYDAY does make for an enjoyable and action-packed game. In it, you’ll play as the infamous goat (or other characters from the DLC) wearing the iconic PAYDAY mask and yes, you’ll complete a number of heists.
Prison Architect: Mobile (Tablet Only)
Construct and manage a maximum security prison. Seems pretty straightforward but not an easy task with a hundreds of criminals and a limited staff.
If you’re looking for some pure action and a Street Fighter type of game, Skullgirls is where it’s at. Skullgirl is a fighting RPG with a number of crazy combos and finishers, and a series of matches as you work your way up to find the mysterious Skullgirl.
Jaipur: A Card Game of Duels
Board game lovers familiar of the 2-player card game can jump into the digital form of Jaipur. Newcomers can enjoy it as well with the relatively short learning curve. Simply put, the goal of the game is to trade goods and collect the most points through bonuses and stacking of camels. You have the option to play this online or against a computer.

The sheer visuals of Subdivision Infinity is a delight with its 3D space combat. In Subdivision Infinity, you’ll engage in 40 missions and battle against enemies in space warfare including boss ships. You can also take a step back from the chaos to explore and find items to improve your ship.
